Yes, every import is insured. The insurance cost, based on the cargo's commercial value, is included in the quotation.
A common failure occurs when part of a cargo is sacrificed to save the rest of the goods and the ship. The costs are shared between the vessel owner, cargo owner, and freight owner. Cargo insurance covers these costs.
Taxes are not included in the price, but the quotation provides an estimate of customs duty and VAT, which are payable at customs clearance.
Payment for customs duties and VAT is due on the day of customs clearance to the Customs Agency or directly to the Customs and Tax Administration.
No, EastWing does not offer deferred VAT clearance.
Yes, EastWing ensures that imported products have all necessary certificates and markings.
The process duration varies:
- Product selection in China: up to a week
- Sea transport: approx. 35+ days
- Rail transport: approx. 17+ days
- Air transport: up to 5 days
- Customs clearance and delivery in Poland: up to 5 days
The total time under ideal conditions is around two months (sea transport option).
Returning goods is often not cost-effective due to customs duty and VAT, which are non-refundable. We recommend ordering samples to verify quality before proceeding with larger orders. Pre-shipment inspections also help avoid defective products.
